After playing for almost 25 years, I left the 'rough' of the Rugby field and moved to the golfing fairways in 1985.

I have only ever been a member of Hinckley Golf Club and was honoured to be Captain in 2009. I was invited to join the Hinckley Board in November 2015 and was appointed Chairman in October 2016.

Golf Development Director

Steve White

I have been a member of the club for around 20 years. My main role is to look after the development of players whether that be Juniors, Ladies, Men or Club members. I work as an IT Manager in the world of Commercial Insurance and this brings many years of experience in commercial management to the club, which in the main is run by volunteers. One of my main aims over the next 3-5 years is to grow the grass root side of the golf club, taking Juniors as young as 5 through to 18 and letting them experience, and where possible develop, their golfing skills and become valued members of the club.

Andy Bestwick

I joined Hinckley Golf Club in 2014 after many years at Whetstone, I joined the Board in June 2020 to help with Financial and Commercial matters. My background is in business, both PLC and Private, in senior Board roles. I also had my own business working with a variety of Companies advising them on becoming more profitable. I look forward to utilising those skills in my role here.
